How do I determine the Linux build for a WRN series recorder?

Because the WRN operating system image is a standard Ubuntu, it is important to know which OS build you are dealing with in the field.

Determining the Linux Build

To determine what build of Ubuntu is running on your system:

1. Log in to the WRN.
   
   
2. Open a Linux Terminal window.
   
   
3. Enter: ls /usr/local/src/hit/scripts/
   
   
4. Press Enter.
   

   NOTE: If the Script Version is lower than 1.04 for WRN-810/1610, or 1.01.02-250401 for 
   WRN-816/1632, it is recommended to backup up WAVE and the recording licenses, then 
   re-image the WRN.
